Irish connection with "Vanginderhuysen"

Dear Lori,
I move our conversation to this forum. So everybody can enjoy.

I found your aftergrandmother Henriette Vanginderhuysen. Her full name is Maria Henrica Paulina Vanginderhuysen. Born on 29.06.1869 in Diest (Belgium). Her parents are Joannes Vanginderhuysen, 30 j., Tailor, born and living in Diest and Antonia Magdalens, 27 j., Housewife, also born and living in Diest. Witnesses were Josephus Maris, shopkeeper from Diest and Andreas Haesevoets, 31 j., "City Soldier", also living in Diest.

Her parents married on 26.06.1867 in Diest. Joannes Vanginderhuysen is tailor, lives in Diest and is born in Diest on the 14.05.1839. He is the natural son of Maria Vanginderhuysen, ironer, living in Diest and Antonia Magdalens, ironer, living and born in Diest on 29.8.1841. She is doughter of Ludovicus Magdalens, barber and Maria Gertrudis Jacobs, housekeeper, living in Diest.

I will send you a foto by mail.
It is perhaps possible to search further.
I think that there are many brothers and sisters, but there are also several couples Vanginderhuysen. It will cost many time to puzzel it out.

Fantastic Jan! Many, many thanks! I found those names in the sample data base and wondered if they could be closely related!

I also found an Alfons De Temmerman in the doodsprenten 1993. My aftergranmother's husband, Henri De Temmerman had a father named Alphonsus. I looked for the family name of Alphonsus's wife, Natalie De Vleeschouwer and see there are also people of that name in Diest. I have a lot of work to do!

Two questions: by natural son do you mean unmarried parents and was Maria Vanginderhuyser the father?

Thanks again. I look forward to joining the society as a full member :-)

Natural son: means that he has officialy only a mother and at the time of his birth the father is unknown. It is possible that later his mother married (with the real father or an other man) and the couple recognized the child but normally the child also takes the name of the new father. In this case the child kept the name of his mother what means that the mother probably never maried. I 'm afraid that here stops one branche of your pedigree.

That explains natural son and mother, Maria Vanginderhuysen. Antonia Magdalena was the other adult in the house?

Very interesting! Wow, thanks again! I am so happy to share this with the family!

Antonia Magdalens (with an "s") is the wife of Joannes Vanginderhuysen and the mother of Maria Henrica Paulina Vanginderhuysen.
Joannes Vanginderhuysen is a natural son of Maria Vanginderhuysen.
